This Op began on the 10th January 1970 by an air assault into AO Bayswater which was
in the Courtenay Rubber, the scene of an immensely successful first operation.

Once the Coy had deplaned, they moved into position of a cordon and search surrounding the village of
Ap Ngai Giao. This was the first phase of the Bn’s mission of destroying the VC, their systems and installations.

During their movement into the cordon, V4 contacted the Nga Giao Guerilla Squad.

By last light on the 11th, the outer perimeter was closed and a detailed search began. The local people
were screened by the Vietnamese Police. Medical and dental aid was given to the local population.

Two days later V4 was redeployed and were air assaulted into the Viet Cuong and
then began ambushing and patrolling as Platoon size groups in their allocated areas
with great success, including the capture of the VC Political Cadre of Xuan Son.

This was the first of many VC captured and detained during this operation

The Coy returned to Nui Dat on the 20th February.
