Don (Droop) and Yvonne Morrison along with Tank and Dinah Smith suggested, organised and hosted the first V4 Coy reunion at Kaikoura in 2003 to coincide with ANZAC Day.

It was based at the Blue Pacific Hotel, which is where the local RSA members meet.

Prior to the event, the hosts spent many hours gathering crayfish, paua, kina and fish
from the nearby coastal bays. There was heaps!

About 25 guys plus their wives and whanau attended.

The group were welcomed onto the Kaikoura Marae with Olly acting as interpreter for Quin.

On ANZAC Day the immaculately dressed (with medals) group led the Town Parade
from the Cenotaph to the Town Hall for the ANZAC Day Memorial Service.

Quin, who was part of the official party delivered the address.

At the reunion meeting, it was agreed that the next V4 Reunion would be
at Palmerston North in two years.
